Tyler Gribbins

Bio

Tyler Gribbins joined the Bullitt East coaching staff in 2024 and currently serves as the Freshmen Defensive Coordinator, Varsity Running Backs Coach and Assistant Safeties Coach. A native of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Gribbins came to Bullitt East after completing his own playing career at the high school and collegiate levels.

Gribbins played his high school football at Campbellsville High School before continuing his career at Campbellsville University. He played linebacker for the Tigers, gaining collegiate playing experience that would later provide a foundation for his transition into coaching.

In 2024, Gribbins joined the Bullitt East program as an assistant with the freshmen team. His first season gave him the opportunity to learn the Chargers’ systems and expectations while working directly with young players as they made the transition into high school football.

Gribbins’ responsibilities expanded in 2025 when he was promoted to Defensive Coordinator for the freshmen program. In that role, he took greater responsibility for the development of Bullitt East’s young defensive players while helping establish the fundamentals, communication and defensive identity expected throughout the program.

In 2026, Gribbins continued as the Freshmen Defensive Coordinator while adding two varsity responsibilities as the Running Backs Coach and Assistant Safeties Coach. The expanded role allows him to contribute on both sides of the football while continuing to oversee the defensive development of the program’s freshmen.

Gribbins’ progression since arriving at Bullitt East reflects his growing impact within the Charger program. From beginning as a freshmen assistant to coordinating the freshmen defense and now coaching multiple varsity position groups, he has continued to take on greater responsibility while helping develop players throughout the program.
